Another book reveiw, eep. This time we have wartime fiction, I love reading about back in the day and when it’s fiction it always warms my heart, reminds me of the books my grandma reads!

A English Girl. An American Soldier. A twin secret…

When Rose meets American GI William there is no denying the attraction between them…And even though she knows her family would not approve of her relationship with a black soldier, they can’t help but fall in love.

However Rose has a secret of her own and when war separates the sweethearts before she can confide in William, it is Rose who will have to deal with the consequences…

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book, it was a very interesting and thought provoking read. Following Rosie & William, we follow there relationship as they are separated due to the war. There lovely story comes through along with the fact that her family doesn’t approve of a black solider, which raises some important topics. I really just loved watching the story unfold, I’m not going to give too much away as you totally need to read it for yourself. But trust me, it’s amazing.

Lola has another book called Orphan Sisters, which I’ve  added to my wish list after reading this, and it’s very well reviewed as I think this one will be too! I really enjoyed the style of Lola’s writing, which is always a bonus, and ps. the book has such a lovely cover.
